A particular remark on this chapter is that the present three-phase system (a rising air bubble through the oil/water interface) forms the concentric ripples on the outer bubble surface and the numerous micro water droplets break out from the fully grown ripples. The concentric ripples on the ruptured bubble surface have not ever been observed in the previously operated gas/liquid two-phase system [1, 5–7, 21] even if high viscous liquid would be adopted instead of water [5, 6]. Further investigation is desired to explain the detailed mechanism of the ripple generation in the three-phase system.
